Hey There! I’m Ivy!

I started Beautifully Simply You to be completely vulnerable and transparent in the telling of my story of my struggle with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts and how I have grown to love myself in order to help others tell their own story. If you ever struggled with your self-confidence, self-esteem, self-worth and overall happiness, know you are not alone. For too long, I was ashamed to speak up about my mental health issues, and I hope together, we can create a platform where we can normalize the face of mental illness by telling our stories and supporting one another in our unique journeys to be beautifully, simply, who we are.

If you are interested in breaking down the stigma around mental illness and you would like me to come speak to your school/organization about my experience with my mental health to empower others to tell their story and get the help they deserve, please reach out to me here. Find more information about my speaking topics here!

A Little Bit About Ivy:

A former track & field student-athlete who appeared to have it all together, graduating Summa Cum Laude and a top 30 finalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award, on the inside struggled daily with anxiety, self-worth and depression. After finally seeking help, Ivy, who is Mental Health First Aid Certified, promotes mental wellness and reduces stigma around mental illness by sharing her story through public speaking and her blog, Beautifully Simply You. Ivy empowers others to speak their truths, know that they are not alone, learn the beauty of self-love and find strength to keep fighting for their tomorrows. Ivy has her undergrad in Psychology from University of New Haven, her Masters in Public Health from Boston University, and also has her certification in Mental Health First Aid.

Ivy has empowered over 8,000 students and over 3,000 administrators and parents to practice mental wellness for themselves and for others. Together, we can change and save lives.
