Hey There! I’m Ivy!
I started Beautifully Simply You to be completely vulnerable and transparent in the telling of my story of my struggle with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts and how I have grown to love myself in order to help others tell their own story. If you ever struggled with your self-confidence, self-esteem, self-worth and overall happiness, know you are not alone. For too long, I was ashamed to speak up about my mental health issues, and I hope together, we can create a platform where we can normalize the face of mental illness by telling our stories and supporting one another in our unique journeys to be beautifully, simply, who we are.
If you are interested in breaking down the stigma around mental illness and you would like me to come speak to your school/organization about my experience with my mental health to empower others to tell their story and get the help they deserve, please reach out to me here. Find more information about my speaking topics here!
A Little Bit About Me:
I grew up in Massachusetts and currently still live here in Boston. I completed my undergrad in Psychology from University of New Haven in 2015 and completed my Masters in Public Health at Boston University in 2017. I ran track as a sprinter for 14 years of my life (from age 8 to 22). I ran the beast of the 400 meter sprint as well as the 4×400, and occasionally the 200 meter sprint. I am lucky enough to have been named NE-10 Woman of the Year and was a top 30 finalist for NCAA Woman of the Year. I currently work in healthcare and I love working out, running by the beach, writing, reading, cooking and eating good food, hanging with friends and family and helping others. Anything else you would like to know, message me in the contact tab, I would LOVE to get to know you more! 🙂
