Self-Love Workshops

Continue to check back here for updates on the next Self-Love Workshop! The last Self-Love Workshop was a success in Somerville, MA on February 9, 2019!

About this Event

Have you ever told yourself that you weren’t good enough? Have you ever compared yourself to others and wished you were prettier, smarter, or more fit, like they were? You are not alone. Society teaches us to be negative and in a world that thrives on self-criticism, it is easy to be your own worst critic rather than love the you that you are.

But how would it feel to learn to love yourself exactly as you are? How would it feel to accept yourself and finally recognize your worth?

If you have ever wondered how that would feel and wondered where to start, you are in the right place!

When Ivy realized how beautiful self-love was, her whole life changed, and she wants to share the beauty and gift of self-love with YOU.

In this 3.5 hour self-love workshop, you will learn:

  • How to fight the negative thoughts in your head that have been holding you back and replace them with positive thoughts.
  • How to create positive “I AM” statements
  • How to recognize your worth and why YOU matter
  • That being the best you possible, means working on yourself, staying true to who you are, putting yourself first, and most importantly, loving yourself exactly as you are.

What your admission fee gets you?

  • Delicious continental brunch food and drinks!!
  • Hands on self-love practice, tips and techniques!!
  • Self-care goody bag!!
  • A chance to hang out with Ivy, dance, express and enjoy ourselves!!

About your host:

Ivy Watts, Founder of the mental health/self-love blog, Beautifully Simply You, struggled for years with anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and self-hate. For years, she told herself that she wasn’t good enough and wasn’t worthy or deserving of all of the beauty and love in this world. When Ivy finally found the strength to walk away from an emotionally abusive relationship, she found herself at rock bottom, and knew she needed to rebuild her life. Through affirmations, gratitude practice, challenging herself to prove she was capable, self-care, dance-parties and therapy, Ivy learned to love herself, and learning to love herself was truly the best gift she had ever given to herself or ever recieved. Once Ivy began to love herself, her life changed, and she attracted more loving people into her life who also recognized her worth. Although not every day is easy, Ivy has the tools within her to combat the negative thoughts and recognizes that she can do anything she puts her mind to, if she believes in herself. And Ivy believes that everyone should feel the freeing power of self-love, so she has dedicated her time to blog and speak about it to all of you!

Ivy has her Masters in Public Health from Boston University, her Psychology Degree from University of New Haven and also is certified in First Aid Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.

I can’t wait to see you there! Let’s love ourselves and change the world together!

what are previous attendees saying?!

“Ivy has a steady presence when she speaks that encourages vulnerability and humility among participants while she layers tools, tips, and mantras into the day so that you come away feeling more prepared to strengthen your own positive mindset. This workshop is beyond self-care, it is self-expression, exploration, and preservation.” – Avery Desrosiers, Self-Love Workshop Attendee

“I will say as soon as I arrived I felt welcome and looked forward to hearing of diverse self-love journeys. Ivy was a wonderful facilitator and authentic in telling her story. She had activities that kept us in focus and in line with understanding our own unique paths. A diverse group of us joined together for this event and shared what we’ve learned about mental health/self-care, how we’ve grown and how sometimes we are too hard on ourselves. Thank you Ivy for a mindful event and also for giving each guest a self-care goody bag!” – Nicole Jones, Self-Love Workshop Attendee
